Jim, aka 'Rocky', picked up the guitar while in high school, based on the urging of his still long-time friend, Dennis. He felt we should start a band even though neither of us had any real clue about playing our instruments! From that initial purchase of his Rocket guitar, he began a growing interest in playing and singing music. Rocky began playing on a regular basis during his last year in college in Potsdam, NY and continued afterwards traveling throughout the northeast, until finally settling down to begin a family. Time passes...

From that initial purchase of his Rocket guitar, he began a growing interest in playing and singing music. Rocky began playing on a regular basis during his last year in college in Potsdam, NY and continued afterwards traveling throughout the northeast, until finally settling down to begin a family. After moving to Raleigh in 1992, Rocky kept pursuing music on his own, but it wasn't until he crossed paths with now band mates, Kevin and Carol, that they all agreed to form the group, Amnesia. Amnesia enjoyed a relatively long run until disbanding in 2004.

After a two-year break, Kevin, Carol and Rocky decided to again pursue performing and sought out to find new band members to join them. Famous on Friday was the result of that search. FOF performed from June 2006 until May 2008 when four of its existing members decided to split off to form the current group Chapter Four. Chapter Four is back to the original acoustic jazz style of music with an occasional popular cover added in. They hope you enjoy the mixture of music they perform.
